How To Take And Edit Impressive Photographs With Your Smartphone - Full-Day Workshop - Bradford-Upon-Avon - Saturday 23rd November and Saturday 8th February
Your smartphone camera is capable of making wonderful images
The trouble is people aren’t told how to get the best from it.
Are you dissatisfied with your images?
Would you like to be more inspired by what is in front of you?
Are you frustrated that others seem to take better images than you?
If so, this workshop is for you!
In a relaxed, informal group of no more than eight people, we start by learning the three key skills that will take your smartphone photography to the next level.
Then we head out to three great nearby locations for smartphone photography. (If the weather is bad we may do some indoor photography as well).
Next, we head back to base for a presentation on image editing. After a light lunch (included in the price of the workshop), you receive detailed training on how to use the Snapseed editing app. This app is free and available for both iOS and Android users.
Now it is time for you try out your new editing skills on your own images. Matt will guide you to ensure you achieve the best possible results. You have the chance to try a number of different editing styles. Finally, we share our images, receive feedback and celebrate what we have created!
Your tutor for the session is Matt Parker
Matt is an experienced photographer who has been creating smartphone images for many years. He has published four books of his work and his prints and cards are widely available.
Matt is a professional trainer and has studied brain friendly learning. He is on hand throughout the session to make sure that you receive tips, personal feedback and inspiration.
Two beautiful A5 art prints of your work are included
At the end of the session, you choose two of your images and Matt will create physical versions with art paper and archival inks, ready for framing. (These are delivered by post after the event.)

Testimonials
I was lucky enough to attend a workshop with Matt and learned so much. Matt is an excellent tutor and presented the information in a clear and accessible way. He encouraged us to use our mobile phone cameras to take pictures that went deeper than the usual quick snaps. We also spent a little time on editing software which I found very useful. I took a photo that I really love which I had printed and have hung on the wall at home. I highly recommend this training if you want to explore better mobile phone photography.

I was lucky to be a participant in one of Matt's smartphone sessions.
The day revolved around thinking about what you want to say in your photos - how to construct a scene, how to choose angles, viewpoints and also how to edit your pictures to manage this.
For someone whose main ideas of photos previously had been a recorder of family events, the course was an eye opener.
The main attraction, however, is Matt's experience and ability to put this across. Matt has an excellent portfolio to illustrate his ideas and is a clear communicator in getting this across.
Very highly recommended.

Matt’s photography training simplified the photography process. He inspired me to be much more creative, seeing photographic possibilities in a whole range of subjects. I’d really recommend one of his workshops.
